Is it beneficial to work your abdominals on a daily basis?

NO! Your abdominals are a muscle and need time to rest and recover in between workouts! You should always give each muscle group at least 48 hours of rest between workouts; and if you’re really training them hard, I actually recommend 72 hours rest for maximum recovery.

If your goal is to reveal your 6 pack of ab muscles then you really need to focus on decreasing your body fat levels to the point where the top layer of fat on your stomach is diminished! Increase your cardio, pay close attention to your nutritional intake and THEN focus on strength training. Everyone has beautiful abdominal muscles; it is just the layer of fat around your core that prevents them from being revealed.

Be sure you work the abdominal muscles 2 times weekly, giving them plenty of time to rest, increase your cardio to ensure proper fat burn and keep a meticulous food journal!
